Something Is Coming is a short film told through the eyes of a child as Toronto prepares to host the FIFA World Cup 2026, one of the world's biggest sporting events. Before the first match is played, the excitement is already everywhere. Streets begin to transform, conversations turn to soccer, and a shared sense of anticipation brings communities together across the city.

Through simple observations and childhood wonder, the film captures what it feels like to be one day closer to something bigger than yourself. As Toronto gets ready to welcome fans from around the world and host historic World Cup matches, everyday moments take on new meaning. The film explores anticipation and the excitement that builds when an entire city is counting down to a global event that will place Toronto at the centre of the world's attention. Toronto is one of 16 host cities for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and will host six tournament matches, including Canada's opening match.
